Capercaillie is a boutique Winery located on the Lovedale side of the Hunter Valley. The founder of this company, Alasdair Sutherland, was from Scotland and his heritage is reflected in the very name 'Capercaillie'. It is the Gaelic name given to the black woodlands grouse, native to the pine forests of Scotland and is now extremely rare.

Our aim to produce premium quality wines, and maintain our high standard of customer service. We can accommodate almost any taste, and the range of wines available is always growing. Our current varieties include the Hunter Classics, Multi-regional blends and a range of sparkling and sweet dessert styles.

We also have our iconic range, these wines are given gaelic names and are what we consider to be our most premium wines.
