Little Bang Brewing Company is an independent brewery and Tap Room based in South Australia. Founded by home brew buddies Fil and Ryan, Little Bang is well known for their quirky beer names and label designs.

Fil and Ryan met while working for a video games studio in 2003. They were nerds for games. When the GFC hit and the bottom fell out of the games industry Fil pursued a trade as a refrigeration mechanic and Ryan became a sales rep for a national craft beer distributor. With both Ryan and Fil independently home brewing on the side, their nerdiness and skills for making beer soon exceeded that for video games. 

With Fil’s fridgey and brewing skills and Ryan’s quirky branding and sales skills the scene was set. In 2013 the Little Bang Brewing Co. was officially formed and over the next 18 months they designed and built their own commercial brewery in Fil’s shed.

Selling its first keg of beer in 2014, the business quickly outgrew the shed and in 2015 moved to bigger premises where production increased and a tap room was opened. In 2018 Little Bang moved to even bigger premises, once again upping the brewhouse capacity and delving into the world of wines and small batch gins.
