Pirate Life was founded by Jack Cameron, Jared ‘Red’ Proudfoot and Michael ‘MC’ Cameron in late 2014.With a wealth of international brewing experience, the guys turned a one thousand square metre plot in Hindmarsh, Adelaide, into a fully functioning brewery…in just three months.

The first batch of beer (an 8.8% Imperial IPA) rolled off the line in February 2015 and launched officially at the Gilbert Street Hotel four weeks later. Since then, Pirate Life has become one of Australia’s most recognisable craft breweries.
Their unapologetic style has earnt them a slew of international awards, cross-genre collaborations with some of the world’s biggest brands and three ‘epic’ venues down under - Pirate Life Port Adelaide, Pirate Life Perth, and The District at SkyCity, Adelaide.
